PV String Collection on the DC Side
The Combiner Box is used on the DC side of photovoltaic systems to collect current from multiple PV strings before sending the combined output to an inverter or downstream DC equipment.
- Maximum system voltage options: DC 1000V or DC 1500V.
- Input circuit options: 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, or 24 strings.
- Common input current range: 15–30A per string.
- Combined output current range: 63–400A.
- The centralized connection can reduce the number of DC cables entering the inverter.
- The product can be used in ground-mounted PV plants, commercial and industrial rooftops, distributed PV systems, factory solar power projects, and PV-plus-storage applications.
Protection and Monitoring Configuration
Internal devices can be selected according to the PV array and project requirements.
- PV-specific fuses can provide branch overcurrent protection.
- A DC isolating switch can be included for circuit isolation.
- Surge protection devices can be integrated for surge protection.
- Current monitoring can be configured for operating-status management.
- Optional monitoring functions can include string current, voltage, SPD status, switch status, and communication modules.
- Input and output parameters should be determined from module string quantity, module Isc, design safety factor, string count, and downstream equipment requirements.

- Export packing can follow standard requirements or customer instructions.
